El rol de los modelos animales en la historia de la formación de psicólogos en Uruguay
Abstract
RESUMEN
La psicologÃa experimental con animales ha hecho aportes muy importantes para el desarrollo de la psicologÃa. En Uruguay históricamente esta área de conocimiento ha sido relegada, encontrándose fragmentada en diferentes asignaturas e instituciones. El periodo de facto a nivel nacional fue uno de los principales hechos que marcó y quebró la estructura curricular influenciando sobremanera el desarrollo de la psicologÃa experimental y disciplinas afines en Uruguay. La creación de la Cátedra Libre de PsicologÃa Cognitiva (2008) y del Centro de Investigación Básica en PsicologÃa (2010) en la Facultad de PsicologÃa de la Universidad de la República marcaron otro quiebre en el desarrollo de la psicologÃa experimental a nivel institucional, pero siguieron sin ser incluidos los modelos animales. El presente trabajo intenta hacer una revisión histórica del desarrollo de la psicologÃa experimental en Uruguay, con énfasis en los modelos animales, que hasta el dÃa de hoy no forman parte de la estructura institucional ni curricular formal de la formación en psicologÃa en Uruguay.

ABSTRACT
The animals experimental psychology has made very important contributions to the psychology development. In Uruguay, historically this area of knowledge has been relegated, finding itself fragmented into different subjects and institutions. The military dictatorship were one of the main events that marked and cracked the curricular structure, influencing the experimental psychology development in Uruguay. The creation of the Cognitive Psychology Free Chair (2008) and the Basic Psychology Research Center (2010) in the Faculty of Psychology of the Universidad de la República marked a historical milestone in the institutional experimental psychology development, but they still did not include animal models. This paper attempts to make a historical review of the development of experimental psychology in Uruguay, with an emphasis on animal models, which not take part of the institutions or curricular structure of psychology training in Uruguay.

A criação da Cátedra Livre de Psicologia Cognitiva (2008) e do Centro de Pesquisas em Psicologia (2010) na faculdade de Psicologia da Universidad de la República, marcaram outra quebra no desenvolvimento da psicologia experimental a nivel institucional, sem a inclusão dos modelos animais. O presente trabalho tenta fazer uma revisão histórica do desenvolvimento da psicologia experimental no Uruguai, com ênfase nos modelos animais, que até o dia de hoje não formam parte da estrutura institucional ou curricular formal da formação de.psicologia no Uruguai.
