Abstract
Resumen
En el tratamiento de los trastornos mentales, siempre se reconoció que la medicación -el tratamiento de intervención biológica- era exclusividad de los psiquiatras. Actualmente, esta situación ha sido puesta en discusión en Estados Unidos a través del movimiento de la prescripción, como se denomina al grupo de psicólogos que reclaman capacidad legal para prescribir psicofármacos. Esta posibilidad, si bien se ofrece como una alternativa de tratamiento integral no deja de generar grandes crÃticas. El presente trabajo indaga las opiniones de los estudiantes de PsicologÃa de la Universidad de Buenos Aires, en Argentina, en relación con los principales argumentos a favor y en contra esbozados por Norcross (2005).

Abstract
When it comes to the treatment of mental disordes, it has always been accepted that medication -the biological treatment- was exclusive of psychiatrists practice. At present, that assumption has been put under consideration in the United Status by the prescription movement, the psychologists group that claim for prescription privileges. Although this opportunity could onstitute an alternative for a more integrative treatment has arised several critics. Present paper inquires about University of Buenos Aires Psychology students’ opinión about pro and con arguments outlined by Norcross (2005).
