Resumen
El Neuropsicólogo es el profesional capacitado para actuar
como perito en causas judiciales en las que están implicadas
personas que presentan algún tipo de disfunción o daño
cerebral. El objetivo del artÃculo es señalar la utilidad del
diagnóstico neuropsicológico en el ámbito forense comparado
con la evaluación neurológica y psicométrica tradicional, las
cuales no son capaces de detectar cambios sutiles como es
el caso de la alteración en el funcionamiento ejecutivo y sus
repercusiones para los aspectos legales de tipo laboral.

Abstract
The neuropsychologist is a professional trained to act as an
expert witness in court cases involving persons with some
types of dysfunction or brain damage . The aim of this article
is to illustrate the utility of neuropsychological assessment
in forensic settings compared with neurological evaluation
and traditional psychometric evaluation, which are not able
to detect subtle changes such as alteration in executive
functioning and its implications for legal aspects .

Resumo
O Neuropsicólogo é o profissional capacitado para atuar como
perito em causas judiciais nas que estão implicadas pessoas
que apresentam algum tipo de disfunção ou dano cerebral.
O objetivo do artigo é mostrar a utilidade do diagnóstico
neuropsicológico no âmbito forense comparado com a
avaliação neurológica e psicométrica tradicional, as quais não
são capazes de detectar mudanças sutis como é o caso da
alteração no funcionamento executivo e suas repercussões
para os aspectos legais do tipo laboral.
